What to expect for Meet #4

Tomorrow (June 16th), we have our 4th meet of the season and it will be a HOME swim meet at Princeton Lakes. This week, we will be swimming against the Kings Cove Pirates. Please plan to arrive between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM to make sure you have plenty of time to park, check-in, and find our warm-up area. The home team warm-ups will start at 5:00 PM. The swim meet will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

    Princeton Lakes Clubhouse

    1403 Drexel Court

    Marietta, GA 30068

    Arrival Instructions and Parking:

The clubhouse parking area will be blocked off and is reserved for the race official, coordinators, and coaching staff.

Meet participants are welcome to park on any of the surrounding neighborhood streets; however, please do not block driveways, mailboxes, fire hydrants, or crosswalks. There may be “no parking” signs along the street too. In areas without these signs, we ask that participants only park one side of the street to ensure that thru traffic can easily pass.

Our pool deck will be setup with spaces for bullpens for our swimmers 8 and under. There is also a small space available on the pool deck for spectator seating. The pool deck seating is available first come-first served and must be setup behind the chalked lines to ensure we have a clear line of travel along both sides of the pool for our official. The “home” side seating will be along the fence line on the lake side of the pool.

Pop-up/tailgate tents are not allowed on the pool deck. Once the seating area on the pool deck is filled, home team spectators can setup behind the playground and along the sidewalks on the lake side of the pool. Please bring chairs for your family; there will not be chairs available on the pool deck or the playground area.

    What to bring:

    • Swimsuit
    • Swim cap
    • Goggles
    • Sunscreen
    • 2 Towels
    • T-shirt or hoodie (to use as a cover-up between events)
    • Sharpie marker
    • Money (we accept cash or Venmo)
    • Tailgate chairs

How to make a swim “tattoo”:

When you arrive, one of the coaches will give you a slip of paper that has your swimmer’s heat assignments. You can also download the SwimTopia app from the app store and login using your website credentials.

Using a Sharpie marker, make a grid on your swimmer’s forearm using this format:

    E (event) – H (heat) – L (lane)

    Check-in for your Volunteer Shift

Once you’ve checked in your swimmer with the coaches, please proceed to the Volunteer Check-in. You will receive instructions from our Volunteer Coordinator for your designated volunteer shift.

Swimmer Bull-pen (ages 8 and under):

For our swimmers who are in the 8 and under age groups, your swimmer will be assigned to a bullpen. Please look for the designated area for your swimmer, where you will drop off your swimmer with parent volunteers who will be escorting swimmers from the bullpen area to/from the swim area for their assigned swim heats.

    Concessions:

Come visit us for dinner! We have some amazing grillmasters in our community who have put together a really impressive concession stand menu for the event. We will have the ability to accept cash or electronic payments with Venmo.
