What is Patti Wilder?

The Patti Wilder Meet is the Cobb County Summer Swim championship meet where summer league swimmers from all over Cobb County race together. It will be held at Mountain View Aquatic Center from June 21^st - 22^nd. Swimmers 10 and under will swim on Saturday, June 21^st. Swimmers 11 and older will swim on Sunday, June 22^nd.

This is a state-qualifying swim meet.

• For 5–6-year-old swimmers: there will only be one event held and the results of the race will be considered final.
• For swimmers 7 and older: there will be preliminary swim heats. Any swimmers that finish in the Top 20 in each event will be invited to participate in the finals. After the finals, the top swimmers will be invited to represent Cobb County in the statewide competition.

Who can participate?

Swimmers must be at least 5 years old and must be able to swim 1 lap freestyle (25 yards) in under 70 seconds independently (without hanging on the lane rope, able to get in the water without coach/adult assistance, able to swim without assistance from a coach). Otherwise, there are no qualifying times for this meet and any of our swimmers are able to join. It’s not intended to be an intimidating experience as our swimmers will be placed in heats with swimmers with similar abilities and start times. Each swimmer can request to swim up to 3 individual events and 2 relays.

Declaring your Swimmer and Deadlines

Deadline for registration is Tuesday, June 10^th. The meet is open on Swimtopia; please visit https://princetonlakesswim.swimtopia.com/swim_meets to declare your swimmer. During the declaration process, each swimmer has the option to make a request for up to 3 individual events and opt into joining 2 relay teams. Relay teams will be formed if there are enough swimmers in the age group for the relay.

Cost to Participate

The fee for individual events is $7/per event (max of 3) and relay events (4 swimmers each) are $15 ($3.75/swimmer). Once you have declared, you will be contacted by the Swim Team Coordination team to confirm your registration and will be asked to submit payment for your events. Due to the short turn-around time for registering payments will need to be made promptly via cash or Venmo no later than Tuesday, June 10^th.
